August Accessories was started in 1990 as a family business in southern California. The company began in humble sorts—shipping product bought on various trips throughout the world out of the garage of one of the owner’s homes. It quickly became a wholesale and design company specializing in hats and accessories and was incorporated in 1994. Major, national customers were rapidly being added and remain a core part of the customer base today.
Currently August Accessories continues to do business under its namesake brands (August Accessories, VERT) as well as licensed brands including Badgley Mischka , Affliction, KR3W, Spitfire, Antihero, Krooked Skateboarding, Real and Thunder. In addition the company manufactures under private label for many well-known national and international brands and retailers.
The company’s product mix includes men’s and women’s hats, caps, belts, scarves, handbags, wallets, backpacks, watches and jewelry. And its customer list is a who’s who of the retail sector ranging from national department and specialty stores to many of the nation’s finest boutiques.
